The DPI on the Surface Laptop Go is around the same as the DPI on a 1080p 15" laptop, and is slightly higher than the DPI on a 32" 4K monitor. The higher the DPI, the more crisp the image looks. There is far more to screens than the resolution. They see that's it's sub Full HD (1080p) on paper and decide it most be bad. The best example I could find was from u/msolok who said: Not really worried about no backlight keyboard, even in the dark I can type fine. Perfect size, great screen, keyboard and trackpad are astounding. Shart_cannon seemed to agree with this quote: Once again, these are not my experiences, but those of other users.ĭisplay, for something that's been so heavily criticised online I never would have guessed this was a sub-1080p design, it is bright, crisp and clear and no worse to look at than the Macbook Air's one to me The display is nice and sharp enough to look at to not notice the lower resolution, if you don't pay attention to it. People seem to agree the display is ok and usable, but if you pixel peep you will notice it. To start: I do not own the Laptop Go and have never used it, but I have read some user reviews here on the subreddit.
